Northwest Technical Cener in partnership with Panurgy Learning Centers is pleased to offer Comp TIA A+ Certification Preparation, an internationally recognized standard for measuring skills and technical knowledge required of an entry-level computer/IT technician.
A+ Certification
is the industry-wide standard for measuring benchmark level, technical certification skills.

A+ Certification Preparation is a multi-part program.
A+ Essentials
fall semester and A+ PC Maintenance 2220602 spring semester are offered at Northwest Technical Center.
Both programs combine lecture and hands-on labs. Students are to expect assignments and study between classes.

Prerequisite: familiarity and experience with computers.

A+ Computer Certification Preparation Course

$850 + $150 text and materials Sept 29

Basic A+ Certification covering basic knowledge for an IT/PC technician to install, build, upgrade, repair, configure, troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on personal computer hardware and operating systems. Prerequisite:  familiarity and experience with computers.

A+ PC Maintenance Technician Prepration Course

5:30 to 9:30 PM

$850 + $150 text and material fee February 2011 IT 220-602 covers skills and knowledge to maintain PCs in the workplace including installation, trouble shooting and component replacement. Topics include: electricity and power systems, CPUs, motherboards, memory systems, expansion cards, data storage devices, ports, connectors, cables, printers, scanner, display devices, portable computer devices, operating system management, networking, security, and more.
