| ServSafe-Certificaton Training for Food Service Workers | 5 Sessions Wednesdays 3 to 5 PM |
Cost $250 + text and Certification Test | Oct 6 | National Restaurant Association Education Foundation certification sanitation training for food service workers. The course provides knowledge and skills to prevent food, alcohol, and safety related incidents, improve food service operations, and reduce risk and incidence of food borne illness incidents. Certification testing is conducted at the end of the class. |
| Principles of Cooking and Nutrition | 10 Sessions Mondays |
Cost $300 (includes materials) | Sept 20 | Basic course on meal planning, food preparation and nutrition including basic cooking methods for a variety of dishes and baked goods, food groups, food pyramid, food selection, good dietary habits, and nutrition through the lifetime. Personal and professional food preparation topics are covered. The course combines classroom with hands-on kitchen experience. Students will indulge in the fruits of their labors. |
